The PM5000C Fixed Portal Vehicle Monitors

Gamma, neutron and gamma-neutron family of radiation portal monitors for search of radioactive and nuclear materials in trucks and cars. Portal monitors can be equipped with video monitoring system to record the image of a car, that triggered the alarm of the monitor.

PM5000C is the latest model of Polimaster`s Portal Monitors Line. PM5000C is designed in a lightweight body and has compact dimensions as well as modern design. High degree of body protection allows operation in the harsh environment.

Main advantages of new model are compact dimensions and lightweight body combined with the high sensitivity.

Fixed Vehicle monitors can be installed at the facilities that use or produce radioactive and nuclear materials, at the customs and border checkpoints, major highways, bridges etc.

All the PM5000C vehicle monitors are configured as one multipurpose gamma/neutron radiation detector module.RPMs are ideally suited for extreme climate and environment conditions. Depending on the site requirements the vehicle monitors can consist of one or two pillars of various heights. Monitors are designed to monitor  gamma, neutron or both types of radiation, and can also be equipped with video monitoring systems, computer and pager communication with the specialists, assigned to radiation monitoring task.

The following configurations of the PM5000C monitors that are recommended for use as the vehicle portal monitors:

  • PM5000C-01H - two-pillar gamma monitor which consists of 4 gamma detector modules;
  • PM5000C-05H – two-pillar gamma monitor which consists of 2 gamma radiation detector modules with large volume gamma detectors for higher sensitivity  to control cars;
  • PM5000C-09H - two-pillar gamma-neutron monitor which consists of 2 gamma-neutron radiation detector modules with large volume gamma detectors for higher sensitivity to control cars;
  • PM5000C-10H - two-pillar gamma neutron monitor which consists of 4 gamma-neutron radiation detector modules with large volume gamma detectors for higher sensitivity to control trucks;
  • PM5000C-14 - two-pillar neutron monitor which consists of 4 neutron detector modules.
